各位僑界朋友:大家好!!

 

LunarFest 將於明年初配合溫哥華冬奧舉辦, LunarFest 是冬奧文化節唯一的一個當地亞裔團體的節目,由 Asian-Canadian Special Events Association 規劃,LunarFest 包含燈籠森林展示、燈籠創作、燈籠遊行等活動,在<燈籠森林>活動將規劃由1萬個小朋友所創作燈籠組成,其中已邀請台灣小朋友繪製5000個燈籠,運到溫哥華,至於另外5000個將由提供溫哥華小朋友創作,前開活動至本年129日止,以下是 eblast 的海報,附件是可以 download 的畫單,歡迎六年級(G6以下)孩子們發揮創意,請各僑校校長老師鼓勵小朋友參與!!

Lantern Forest 

 

So you’re excited about the Lantern Forest? You’ve come to the right place!

2,010 dazzling lanterns designed by school children from Canada and Taiwan will be hung in the trees forming a spectacular Lantern Forest.

Here’s your chance to be a part of this campaign and contribute by getting those creative juices flowing. Submit your own drawing today and it could be featured in the Lantern Forest during the 2010 LunarFest.

Theme:

Environment Protection or Cultural Heritage

Eligibility:

Students in Grade 6 and under

Prize:

Eligible participants are automatically entered for a chance to win one of: 3 Acer Commemorative Olympic laptop, 100 Acer Commemorative Olympic 4GB USB drive, 500 Acer Commemorative Olympic 2010 personal planner.

Method:

Any colouring medium by hand

Now to December 9th, 2009

Submission ends:

December 9th, 2009 (by postmark)

Go to http://www.lunarfest.org and register!

You will be assigned a Lantern ID to write on your design.

Follow the instructions on the website to print out the design paper.

Draw about your cultural heritage or

     how you will protect the environment.

Remember! Do not draw out of the box!

Make sure you write down your Lantern ID on the design.

Submit the drawing to your school teacher, or mail it to     Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Society by December 9th (by postmark) and you’re done!  * don’t fold your drawing!

Please remember to come back to www.lunarfest.org on January 8th to check out your design amongst thousands from Canada and Taiwan and see if yours is chosen to be made into a lantern.

Selected drawings will be transferred onto lanterns which will be hung to create the Lantern Forest. Selected 5,000 will also receive a certificate from LunarFest!
